Trauma-informed psychotherapy for adults navigating complex trauma, addiction, and the lasting impact of difficult early experiences.

Meet Your Therapist
Hi, I’m Romana.
I have always been deeply curious about the “why” behind our lives—the invisible forces that shape our behaviors, our decisions, and our deepest desires.
Is it the echo of unresolved childhood experiences? The weight of fractured foundations? Or the meaning we’ve assigned to our past that continues to shape our present?
I am passionate about creating a safe, grounded space where we can explore these layers together. My goal is to help you move beyond learned patterns shaped by trauma and the lasting effects of Complex PTSD, supporting you in reclaiming a sense of agency and connection to your own story.
My Approach
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Clinical Consultant with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. For more than 15 years, I have worked across Canada and the United Kingdom supporting individuals navigating addiction, trauma, and complex relational challenges.
Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, or feel disconnected from themselves and others.
Some also worry that their experiences are too complex or difficult to explain. In therapy, we take the time to explore these experiences together at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Together, we work to gently untangle these patterns and move toward a life that feels more authentic, resilient, and meaningful.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, honoring the complexity of the human experience. My work draws from several evidence-based modalities:
Attachment & Trauma-Focused Therapy
Healing the fractured foundations of early relationships and the effects of Complex PTSD.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Exploring the different “parts” of your inner world to develop greater understanding and self-compassion.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Exploring the deeper roots of current patterns and the “why” behind your experiences.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Offering practical tools that can support relief from anxiety, depression, and unhelpful thought patterns.
By integrating somatic, cognitive, and psychodynamic perspectives, I help clients move from simply understanding their pain toward experiencing meaningful and lasting change.
Outside of my clinical work, I value quiet time in nature, reading, and reflecting on the complexities of human experience.
